Time tracking reconciliation
The client’s staff record their time spent on projects in a timesheet app. However the app lacked a critical feature – the ability to compare recorded hours against contracted hours. Without this comparison any accidentally unrecorded or misposted time was not timely highlighted with the potential for under-recovery of costs from clients.
Services provided
A Power BI report was created which:
- shows the time spent per project along with a breakdown of the activities performed.
- allows a direct comparison between recorded and contracted hours to be made
- flags any discrepencies which require further investigation before client billing
Capturing all billable hours
The Power BI report helps management gain comfort that all time is being recorded in a timely manner which aids with both the overview of the work being carried out for each client and the expected billable hours.
